DriverLink: Driver check-in for fuel cards (WhatsApp)
DriverLink lets drivers quickly check in to a fuel card before filling up, using a simple WhatsApp message. By linking a driver’s phone number to the card, it essentially unlocks the card for that specific driver. This means whenever the card is used, you know exactly who is fueling, where and when – no more mystery swipes or shared PINs. Easy for drivers (no extra apps or logins needed) and gives fleet managers real-time transparency and control.
Card Freezing: Lock fuel cards after hours
Card Freezing ensures your fleet’s fuel cards are only active when they’re supposed to be. At the end of the day, the card stays blocked (frozen) to prevent any unauthorized use. When the driver’s shift starts (and they’ve checked in via DriverLink), the card automatically unfreezes so they can fuel up normally. It’s essentially an on/off switch that flips based on the work schedule – no manual intervention needed. This gives you peace of mind that company cards won’t be misused after hours, while drivers won’t notice any difference during their normal workday.
Odometer via WhatsApp: Easy mileage capture
Our new Odometer feature makes logging mileage effortless by using WhatsApp. When a driver refuels, they instantly get a WhatsApp prompt to send in the vehicle’s odometer reading. Drivers can reply with the mileage on the spot (or right after, once they’re safely back in the cab), without any special app or paperwork. Drivers love how simple this is – compliance with odometer reporting has shot up, since all they have to do is text us their reading. Every fuel-up now has an accurate odometer attached, which helps you track vehicle usage and spot anomalies easily (and even deters fuel theft by catching irregular readings).
Fuel Insights: Real-time fuel spend analytics
Fuel Insights is a real-time dashboard that shines a light on where you can save on fuel costs. It gives fleets actionable insights into driver spending and fuel efficiency, highlighting trends and outliers. For example, the dashboard might reveal that fuel is cheaper at certain times of day or flag if someone is buying premium fuel when regular would do. Armed with this info, you can coach your team on smarter fueling habits and immediately spot ways to cut waste. Early users have given great feedback – they say they haven’t seen anything like it, and it’s already helping them reduce their fuel spend.

New Expenses Page: Receipt & VAT compliance
We’ve added a New Expenses page to give you better insight into receipt and invoice compliance. This page shows all your fleet’s transactions in one place, along with indicators of which expenses have their receipts turned in and which are still missing. Immediately, you can see things like how many fuel purchases are waiting on receipts, or each driver’s overall receipt submission rate. Essentially, it helps you quickly catch any compliance gaps – no more chasing down missing invoices or receipts one by one. By spotlighting these issues (and even breaking them down per employee or card), the Expenses page makes audit and VAT recovery prep a lot simpler.

Granular Category Blocks
We’ve made our spending controls more granular with improved category blocks. You can now decide exactly what types of purchases are allowed or blocked on each card – even down to specific categories like Car Washes. For instance, if you want your cards used only for fuel, you can block extras like car washes or convenience store items at the pump. This fine-tuning ensures transactions stay within the approved categories you set, and nothing more. It’s a big upgrade from all-or-nothing controls, letting you enforce your fleet policy with much more precision (so you block unwanted spend without overly limiting your drivers).

Block by Merchant: Ban expensive fuel stations
Sometimes you might want to prevent purchases at a particular merchant – so now we offer Block by Merchant controls. This feature lets you ban specific merchants by name on your fleet card. If you know a certain fuel station or shop tends to be problematic (too expensive, out of policy, etc.), you can simply add it to your block list. Any attempt to use the card at that merchant will be automatically declined. It’s an extra layer of control that helps you steer drivers toward the right vendors and avoid charges at places you don’t approve, all with just a quick setting in the dashboard.
